Fair Booth

Every year our LDS ward has a fundraiser to help pay for Scout Camp and for Girls Camp. Our ward owns a hot dog and hamburger stand that we setup at our local county fair. So, this hamburger stand we own, we call it “The Fair Booth”. It looks like this:

Fair Booth

Each year our ward works together to staff this fair booth. We sell hot dogs, hamburgers, chicken burgers, fries, pop, chilli etc. We usually have a lot of fun getting to know each other and working towards one goal, generating money for the youth of our ward.

Our young men use the money to pay for Scout Camp and High Adventure Camp. Our young women use the money to pay for their girls camp. In years past, we have been able to earn enough money to completely pay for everyone’s camp expenses. It is a great boon to our youth programs.

If you have a few minutes and you are at the Twin Falls County Fair, stop in at our Fair Booth and order a couple of burgers!

I have fond memories of that booth. What fun times that was. It was all social for me.

Glad to see it’s still going.

I SO wish I could stop by the Fair Booth because I miss the County Fair. I only was able to work the fair booth one year. I was always so jealous of my older siblings who were able to do it.

All I can say is, no fair.

I don’t mean, down with the fair or anything like that. No fair that you guys get to have such a cool fundraiser that obviously works very well for you. We had an awesome fundraiser once and were told never again, even though all the youth helped and it was a very successful one evening. No, I’m not bitter.

How do you do the paperwork on that, do you pay taxes, how do you do a joint fundraiser?
