I have texted tom many times.  One time I texted him after a late night indepth discussion about girls and girlfriends etc.  We both left on a good note, but I wanted him to know that I loved him.  So I sent him a text just saying I love you.  He texted me back saying thanks for the talk.  Simple but bonding.
